The Sennheiser VMX100
Wednesday, March 12th, 2008Sennheiser has made quite a name for itself in superb sound quality and putting that into headsets, headphones, and other things that produce sound for our ears. They also have taken forays into the world of Bluetooth, most notably with the new VMX100. This thing kicks ass. A lot of bluetooth headsets say they have excellent sound quality, but the VMX100 is the only one I’m aware of that delivers to the fullest.
Maybe it’s because of it’s VoiceMax Dual Microphone technology (whatever that means) or its ActiveGard technology (again, what?)…whatever it is, it’s awesome. Also, this thing looks killer. From the moment you get the package you realize you’ve purchased quality. A lot of effort went into making opening the box fun, and it is. It is ingeniously packaged, and makes you feel special for purchasing it. I appreciate that, thanks Sennheiser. Anyways, the VMX100 is also quite light, and its styling definitely sets it apart.
Another cool feature is the “on/off” switch, or lack thereof. The VMX100 has this cool system, when the headset is in it folded up mode its off. When you open the headset to put it on your ear, its on. How simple is that? There is no eartips or buds to buy for this headset down the road, no sticky rubber to stick in your ear. It utilizes this rotating design to keep everything cool and out of your ear.
To summarize, if you want a Bluetooth headset, buy the Sennheiser VMX100…you won’t regret it. Also, if you buy it from Headsets.com they have a 60-Day warranty and don’t give you any hassles when you try to return the product.
